The Farm Adaptation Summit 2025, hosted by the Farm Adaptation Network in Copenhagen, brought together representatives from farming communities, policy institutions, and research organisations to explore pathways towards a just, sustainable, and climate-resilient food system.
Key discussions focused on the transition from animal-based to plant-based proteins, emphasising plant-rich diets, protein diversification, and regenerative farming practices as essential components of a more sustainable agricultural future. While the biocyclic-vegan farming model is not yet widely integrated into current transformation strategies, it was recognised as a promising and forward-looking concept within the broader sustainability dialogue.
A highlight of the summit was the presentation of the European Strategic Blueprint for Farm Adaptation, which outlines strategies for European farmers to strengthen resilience in the face of climate change, market dynamics, and policy pressures. The Blueprint links climate adaptation, economic viability, and technological innovation, providing practical guidance for farmers, policymakers, and researchers alike.
Axel Anders, co-founder of Biocyclic Vegan International, attended the event, which provided an excellent opportunity for networking and exchange with inspiring individuals and organisations committed to agricultural transformation.
The summit concluded with a shared commitment to continued collaboration and dialogue on the future of sustainable and climate-resilient farming in Europe — to be continued.
