The Ferme du Château is located in the canton of Vaud, a fertile agricultural region in western Switzerland. Bruno and Cathy Graf have been running their farm according to the Swiss organic farming standard ‘Bio-Knospe’ guidelines for over ten years and converted to vegan organic agriculture in 2014. On their farm, they rely on a wide range of crops, including arable farming, vegetable growing and agroforestry – all in line with the principles of biocyclic vegan agriculture.
The farm is currently preparing for biocyclic vegan certification.
Bruno and Cathy Graf on the foundations and principles of their work:
‘We optimise our organic cultivation methods on a livestock-free farm, relying on purely plant-based fertilisation.
We are tapping into new niche products by cultivating innovative and forward-looking crops.
At Ferme du Château, we promote exchange and learning through research projects on sustainable agriculture. In close collaboration with FiBL (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture), our focus for several years has been on innovative farming methods and experimentation.’
Ferme du Château products are also sold through an online shop.
