Arne Hoops lives in Schleswig-Holstein, North Germany. He grew up on his father’s market garden, “Bio-Modell Düshorn”, a pioneering operation for organic agriculture in the southern Lüneburg Heath. Trained in finance, he was involved in managing the operation for many years. Later, he became a board member and spokesman of Bioland e. V., a leading German organic farming association. Since 1998, he has been an independent consultant in finance and organisational development.
Together with Dr. agr. Johannes Eisenbach, Arne Hoops is one of the authors of the Biocyclic Vegan Standard. He is also a co-founder and partner of the Adolf Hoops Society. In this role, he sees himself as a custodian of the biocyclic vegan idea.
