LoginEKO is a large-scale certified organic farming operation cultivating 3.278 hectares of arable land in Vojvodina, Serbia, with a further 490 hectares dedicated to biodiversity. As the main project of Login5 Foundation and founded by Samo Login, the farm combines purely plant-based organic methods with data-driven agronomy to demonstrate that sustainable, organic farming can work at scale. LoginEKO follows vegan cultivation principles throughout its entire crop production, avoiding all inputs of animal origin.
History & Development
LoginEKO was established with a clear question at its core: whether large-scale organic farming can really be viable. From the start, the farm was built around plant-based nutrient cycles, deliberately excluding livestock and animal-derived fertilisers in favour of biological nitrogen fixation, farm-saved seed and carefully designed crop rotations.
What began as an ambitious experiment has grown into one of Europe’s most closely documented organic operations, generating data across field operations, soil sampling, weather monitoring, and more. The biocyclic vegan certification affirms a way of farming that LoginEKO has applied consistently from the outset − proving that scale and ethical, plant-only agriculture are not mutually exclusive.
Farming Philosophy & Practices
At the heart of LoginEKO’s approach is the conviction that fertile soils, healthy crops, and resilient farming can be sustained through plant-based cycles alone. Soil fertility is maintained through diverse crop rotation and biological nitrogen fixation from legumes, while farm-saved seed is used for all crops except sunflower.
No manure, horn shavings, or other inputs of animal origin are used. Instead, high-quality grain production for human consumption, soil life, and biodiversity are supported through sustainable, plant-based crop rotations, strengthened by continuous monitoring that grounds agronomic decisions in real field data rather than assumptions.
Production & Distribution
LoginEKO grows diverse 5-year crop rotations, including oats, sunflower, peas, wheat, flax, and chickpea. Beyond the field, LoginEKO has developed a set of solutions that extend its model to others:

Community & Outreach
LoginEKO actively shares its experience with farmers, researchers, and the wider public by opening its fields, data, and software to everyone. It shares its farming practices through how-to videos on YouTube and, as part of the Lighthouse Farm Network, contributes to the knowledge base on sustainable farming – demonstrating that organic food production is possible without animal inputs and at scale.
